MO. Vacation Packages And The Grand Village
The Grand Village in Branson MO. with its shops and restaurants on Highway 76, will develop plans independently for the land located directly behind the Village.
Hutcherson says SDC is in concept and research stages, developing entertainment options for the property. He says SDC is studying numerous ideas with the primary objective to draw more vacation packages to the Branson area. Hutcherson pointed out that the research and concept development timetable will prevent the park from opening any earlier than 2003.
"Silver Dollar City has been actively looking to further develop corporate properties in the Branson area as we feel quite confident that the region, with its distinct Branson, Missouri And Silver Dollar City."
Silver Dollar City, Inc. currently owns the following properties: the theme park, Silver Dollar City; White Water water park; The Showboat Branson Belle authentic paddle-wheel dinner cruise at White River Landing; and The Grand Village, all located in Branson, Missouri. Other key partners include Dolly Parton with Dollywood and Dolly’s Splash Country in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and the Dixie Stampede attractions in three states; the State of Georgia, as Silver Dollar City operates the privatized sections of Stone Mountain Park located outside of Atlanta; The Ducks amphibious sightseeing vehicles; and Radio City Music Hall in the presentation of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular in Branson.

Anaconda: Wonder if Branson USA will get any type of B&M? I'm just glad that Six Flags didn't buy Branson USA
coastercory: I wouldn't expect a B&M or anything big like that with SDC's pride and joy so close. But, I'll bet Branson USA will get a few small coasters, like a wild mouse, etc. Also, you can probably expect general park improvements like theming, landscaping, shows, guest relations, etc. But with SDC so close, I wouldn't expect it to turn into anything big.
Lancelot: geez SDC just about owns Branson. I didn't like branson USA, but SDC is a great park.
